Gabon
Seventeen-year-old Samuel N’zie-ngui from Gabon recently broke the internet in his country, singing Celine Dion’s “The power of love”.
A video shot by his friend’s sister went viral, receiving nearly a million views in a week and it has landed him a spot in a musical TV talent show The Voice on the French channel TF1.
The video was sent by the friend’s sister to an influential blogger, Barack Nyare Mba, who created a social network page dubbed “Together for Samuel” in an effort to attract music producers.
Much to his surprise, the young man was also invited to perform in a show on TV Gabon.
He has been hailed by Mba for diverting attention from the the political tension plaguing the country ahead of the elections expected to take place in August.
